Call to Worship
All of life is sacred. All time and space resound with the presence of
the Divine.
We come to this place and time
seeking communion with the Spirit of God.
Here is the sacrament of grace, centred in the teachings of Jesus, made
known through Word and worship.
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to our God.
Let us give God thanks and praise.
We Sing: Come O God of all the Earth
Come, O God of all the earth:
come to us, O Righteous One;
come, and bring our love to birth:
in the glory of your Son.
Sing out, earth and skies!
Sing of the God who loves you;
raise your joyful cries;
dance to the life around you.
Come, O God of wind and flame:
fill the earth with righteousness;
teach us all to sing your name:
may our lives your love confess.
Sing out, earth and skies!
Sing of the God who loves you;
raise your joyful cries;
dance to the life around you.
Come, O God of flashing light:
twinkling star and burning sun;
God of day and God of night:
in your light we all are one.
Sing out, earth and skies!
Sing of the God who loves you;
raise your joyful cries;
dance to the life around you.
Come, O God of snow and rain:
shower down upon the earth;
come, O God, of joy and pain:
God of sorrow, God of mirth.
Sing out, earth and skies!
Sing of the God who loves you;
raise your joyful cries;
dance to the life around you.
Come, O Justice, come, O Peace:
come and shape our hearts anew;
come and make oppression cease:
bring us all to life in you.
Sing out, earth and skies!
Sing of the God who loves you;
raise your joyful cries;
dance to the life around you.

Prayer
Holy and eternal one, wisdom of the ages and eternally present, we have
come to worship and adore you. Throughout the ages you have beckoned
people to join in community and communion with you.
You come in grace to set the troubled one free. You come in mercy to
overcome guilt, fear and anxiety. You come in love to affirm that all is
held in your providential care.
We praise you. We worship you. We seek you. Help us to glimpse something
of your mystery and majesty as we attend to your Word and as we attend
to your still small voice whispering your truths that sustain of
days.
As we reflect on our lives and consider the truth of who we are, may we
be shaped anew into the likeness of Jesus, renewed in our commitment to
his way and be restored in our calling to serve.
Let us offer our confession in silence:
(Silent Prayer)
In all we are and all we do, may we be faithful and true. In the name of
Christ we pray. Amen. God sees the motivation of our hearts. In drawing
near to Christ we are set free to live creative and whole lives.
Thanks be to God.
Passing of the Peace
The peace of our God be with you.
And also with you.

We Sing: You Are Holy, You Are Whole
You are holy,
you are whole.
You are always evermore
than we ever understand.
You are always at hand.
Blessed are you coming near;
blessed are you coming here
to your church in wine and bread
raised from soil
raised from dead.
You are holy,
you are wholeness,
you are present,
let the cosmos praise you, Lord!
Hallelujah, hallelujah,
hallelujah, hallelujah, our Lord!

Scripture Reading: John 21:1-19
After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the
Sea of Tiberias; and he showed himself in this way. Gathered there
together were Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in
Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples. Simon
Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go
with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they
caught nothing.
Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not
know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, you have no fish,
have you?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net to
the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it,
and now they were not able to haul it in because there were so many
fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!”
When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on some clothes, for
he was naked, and jumped into the sea. But the other disciples came in
the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the
land, only about a hundred metres off.
When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish on
it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have
just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full
of large fish, a hundred fifty-three of them; and though there were so
many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have
breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?”
because they knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and
gave it to them and did the same with the fish. This was now the third
time that Jesus appeared to the disciples after he was raised from the
dead.
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son
of John, do you love me more than these?”
He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
A second time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”
Jesus said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
He said to him the third time, “Simon son of John, do you love
me?”
Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, “Do you love
me?”
And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love
you.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Very truly, I tell you, when you were
younger, you used to fasten your own belt and to go wherever you wished.
But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else
will fasten a belt around you and take you where you do not wish to go.”
(He said this to indicate the kind of death by which he would glorify
God.) After this he said to him, “Follow me.”

Setting of the Table
Great Prayer of Thanksgiving
Let us give thanks to God our Creator.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is right to give you thanks and praise, for you alone are the true
and living God. In the beginning your Spirit swept across the face of
the waters, bringing order and beauty out of chaos. You formed us in
your image and breathed into us the breath of life.
Through the waters of the Red Sea you delivered us from suffering and
oppression; at the foot of your sacred mountain you called us to truth
and holiness; in the words of your holy prophets you called us to
justice and compassion; through the lives of your blessed saints and
martyrs you taught us wisdom and faithfulness. Though we turned away
from you, your love remained steadfast.
In the fullness of time you sent your only Son Jesus Christ to be the
Saviour of the world.
By water and the Spirit you open the kingdom to all who believe, and
welcome us to your table: for by grace we are saved, through
faith.
And so we praise you with the faithful of every time and place, joining
with choirs of angels and the whole creation in the eternal hymn:
Holy, holy, holy God of all creation and life,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory,
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of God.
Hosanna in the highest!
THE LORD’S PRAYER
…And now with the confidence of the children of God, let us pray the prayer Jesus taught us saying:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours
now and forever. Amen.

Prayer After Communion
We Sing: Sent forth by God’s Blessing
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
the people of God from this table take leave.
The supper is ended: may now be extended
the fruits of Christ’s service in all who believe.
The seed of his teaching, our hungry souls reaching,
shall blossom in service for all humankind.
Christ’s grace shall incite us, in love to unite us
to work for the kingdom, God’s purpose to find.
